Universal (electronic) conscience

A story on NPR asks: Do companies need the tools to run surveillance on your personal life? Can they do that? Yes, they can. Maybe we need to stop making a game out of "publicly" admitting how lazy we really are and how much we procrastinate... For example, I need to finalise my lesson plans for tomorrow, but I also need to clean up the apartment, and get the laundry ready, and set clothes out and think about lunches... and I'm just...not doing that... thank goodness for our collective electronic conscience.
